About
Around the Way Parchment
Around the Way Parchment is a full-service stationery design firm on a mission to strengthen your interpersonal relationships one piece of paper at a time. ATWP serves as the 'envelope' encouraging stronger connections and deeper relationships. Inspired by the constraints of stay-at-home orders during the pandemic, creator Krystal Henry understood just how important personal connection was and saw traditional means, such as phone calls and mailing greeting cards, to strengthening relationships. It is because of that reason Henry created typography-forward designs that connected to African American and popular culture.
The BEGINNING:
In early 2021, owner and lead creator, Krystal Henry, responded to the problem of not being able to find Mother’s Day cards for Mom friends by creating Mother’s Day cards designed specifically to be exchanged amongst friends. It was there that Around the Way Parchment was born. Before creating stationery, Henry created a blog (Around the Way Mom) in 2016 as an online resource for Moms.
The FUTURE:
Greeting cards are the flagship product for AWP. Birthday, Love, Thank You, EntrepreneuHERship, Sympathy, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Holiday. Plus, additional products will be added including journals, notepads, writing tools and small products. Get ready!
Meet the Founder
Krystal Henry is a writer and stationer (person who creates stationery!) making her life in Baltimore. When she’s not creating new designs for stationery, she can be found catching up on her favorite shows (she’s a big cooking show lover), trying out a new restaurant or spending time with her family.
As a Mom, wife, daughter, friend, entrepreneuHER, educator, creative and ministry leader Krystal understands how so many ‘balance’ multiple responsibilities in the course of a day and still manage to make it all work. She strives to remind Moms their lives and passions matter, and they can use their creativity to enhance their lives and the lives of their family.
Krystal, a native of Prince George’s County, now lives in Baltimore with her husband affectionately known as The Hubs and their son. She's a proud graduate of Suitland High School, Towson University and University of Baltimore. If you run into her out and about, be sure to say Hey Girl!
